Who started Music Marbles and why?
Zoe Brennan the founder and director of Music Marbles has a BA in Music from the University of Exeter. She has experience of directing woodwind ensembles, choirs for all ages and theatrical shows and has performed internationally. As a clarinet and saxophone specialist Zoe provides instrumental tuition on a private basis and also has experience performing with trombone, voice and recorder.
Zoe loves working with children and watching them grow in confidence through the performance of music. She has previously worked as a childminder and has gained a level 3 childcare qualification. Zoe is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians is registered with DBS and is insured to work in the community, in schools and at home.
After 10 years of selling technical software to academics and engineering companies, Zoe loves her work but wanted to achieve more and dreamt of running her own business. Through workshops and classes Zoe hopes to inspire children to develop musical skills from a young age and explore the opportunities that music can open for their future. In her lifetime music has given her confidence, enjoyment, life long friendships, chance to tour internationally, perform with her sisters, a degree, her husband and now a new career opportunity.
